Voices of Determination: The NIF Community, One Year After October 7

In the aftermath of the terrible events of October 7 last year, while we were still reeling from the shock, NIF invited our supporters, friends, and family to come together for a virtual gathering. Dr. Yasmeen Abu-Fraiha and Avi Dabush, two amazing activists and leaders who experienced some of the trauma of that day, joined NIF’s Daniel and Libby, to share their stories just a few days after the seventh.
Avi spoke of spending the day hiding with his family in his safe room as terrorists invaded his kibbutz. Yasmeen spoke to us from the largest hospital in the south, Soroka Medical Center, where she was treating victims around the clock in the ER.
Now, one year later, we’re checking back in with them and taking a moment to check in on ourselves. Join us on Monday, October 7, 12 PM ET / 11 AM CT / 9 AM PT to be in community together as we get all four of their perspectives on this past year, mourn those we have lost, and discuss where we are and where we’re going.
In the last year, even as each of us has experienced so much pain, NIF has endeavored to be there where it matters most. As we approach the one-year mark since October 7, we are more determined than ever to chart the course towards better futures for everyone living in Israel and under its control.
