At the end of a year like no other, we look back.
Watch our 2020 Rewind, or read our reflection.

A year we will always remember.
The year we locked down and rose up.
The year we learned how to embody resilience.
The year that began with a call for change.

A call to unite, rise and resist.
To show up for a better tomorrow.

We took our time to slow down and sing
to feast
and raise the bar.

When Purim came we masked our fears, came together.
For the last time. For a while.

But our masks remained.

And so did our spirit. With fearless fire
We created sacred daily space online.
To connect, to give hope, to bring healing.
With  lots of bumps along the way.

We mourned. And supported.
And still,

With Seders for thousands,
we reimagined  our ritual reality with every single zoom.

Revealed new visions by learning from the ancient wisdom.
Committed to the call to rise for justice.
Together we marched to rise and resist, to defy fear and despair
To rise from the rubble.

To start a new year with the call to reckon and reset.
We unscrolled to roll out our shared faith in our humanity,
and we prayed
with our feet.

In quiet moments,
alone in our homes, we clung
to our soul,
to each other,

to the blessing of community
to those we’d never even met in person who now hold our hands,
even online.

We came together to rebuild,
raise sacred sparks,
to reclaim hope and dignity,
to fight for democracy,
and to turn on the lights
again and again and again.

To spark wonder.
Now.

And all year long.

Thank you for helping the Lab/Shul Vision keep lighting up our days and nights ahead.  Shine on.
