Based on a short story written by Theo Bikel expanded into a full book by Theo’s wife and partner Aimee, The City Of Light (10-adult, Chanukka and year-round) tells of young Theo’s childhood in Vienna and the events leading to his family’s escape after the Anschluss. The book touches on those topics close to Theo, Amichai, and Aimee’s heart: our moral obligation for Tikkun Olam, to love our neighbor and the stranger among us as ourselves, to speak up in the face of injustice, and to honor and respect our elders.
