Celebrating Empty Chairs – Laura Jacobs’ Art

Empty chairs are full of meaning. Sometimes pain, loss – and always potential.

Last week I got to celebrate Laura Jacbos’ incredible art at the New York Studio School. http://www.laurajacobsart.com/
Laura joined the Storahtelling Lab/Shul family this past year, and joined my in grief these past months as she mourns the death of her father. She gave us this haunting series of paintings focusing on the empty chairs in her life – and in our lives. Thinking ahead to the Seder and the empty chairs around our tables – this is so inspiring and important. We’ll be talking about it at our next Kaddish Club.https://labshul.org/th_event/kaddishclub. Thank you Laura- for the deep and moving inspiration.
