All Faith Prayer for Healing and Peace

Yom Kippur Ne’ilah
NYC + ONLINE | FREE
On this Day of Atonement, as we begin a year mid devastating war and growing divides, we call upon our faith traditions to help us hold sacred space for our hurting, hold hands together for healing, and commit to repair, justice and peace – by all and for all. The Lab/Shul community tradition is to dedicate the afternoon of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, as an All-Faith Prayer for Healing and Peace.
Led by our ritual team, with Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Zen-Buddhist Faith leaders, and with peace activists from Israel and Palestine, we gather to raise our voices together for the dignity of human life and the demand for justice, all-faiths as one, all people united in resistance to war and in the pursuit of peace, focusing not on what divides us but what unites us.
This year, we are honored to welcome:
- Sensei Chodo Robert Campbell, NY Zen Center for Contemplative Care
- Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, NY Zen Center for Contemplative Care
- Naz Ahmed Georgas, Executive Director, Cordoba House, NYC
- John Munayer, The Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue, Jerusalem
