At a Turning Point
January 17, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST
A Conversation about the Future of Judaism with Rabbis Lauren Grabelle Herrmann, Angela Buchdahl, and Amichai Lau-Lavie.
As we reach the conclusion of SAJ’s 100 Years Celebration, we look towards the next century. It is an auspicious time to explore “the big questions” as the Jewish community rebuilds and redefines Jewish life after a tumultous few years. Rabbi Lauren Grabelle Herrmann joins in conversation with two of America and New York City’s most influential Jewish leaders, Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, Senior Rabbi of Central Synagogue and Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie, founding Spiritual Leader of Lab/Shul, moderated by Jodi Rudoren, Editor in Chief of The Forward. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities in this moment, what to make of the trends and future directions of Jewish life in America, and what our visions and hopes are for the Jewish future. Co-Sponsored by The Forward, Central Synagogue, and Lab/Shul.
Join us afterwards for refreshments!
