In a new book co-edited by Koshin Paley Ellison, thought leaders in the field of contemplative caregiving offer wisdom and inspiration. Their words teach us that end of life care is not really about dying, it’s about life and what life has to teach us. Koshin and 3 other spiritual leaders will engage in an intimate conversation about their experience giving care at the end of life discussing challenging questions like “how do we understand death?”, “what is the current state of end-of-life health care?”, “how do we give care without becoming depleted?” For anyone involved in hospice work or caregiving of any kind as well as for individuals nearing the end of life and those who love them. Evening includes a reception and book signing.
Co-sponsored by the Garrison Institute, the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, Romemu, Lab-Shul, New York Insight Meditation Center and the JCC What Matters program.
