When You Wish Upon A Star

Welcome to FamilyLab: An everybody-friendly home-based gathering for families with young children ages 0-8 (siblings welcome), centered around the family table, hosted in your homes, and facilitated by Lab/Shul’s team of teaching artists.

This month we’ll gather on a Saturday at dusk to celebrate the ritual of Havdallah, a sensory experiential ritual to transition us into the new week. We’ll D.I.Y. beeswax twisted candles, gather fresh herbs for intoxicating scents and make a toast to the sweetness of the day.

With Lab/Shul’s unique God-optional approach to tradition, text, and story, FamilyLab is open to those who identify as Jewish, Jew-ish, and everything in between. Cuddle up in your PJs for this sweet eve gathering. Whether you own your own Havdallah kit or it’ll be your first time braiding this special candle, all families are welcome!
