March to End Fossil Fuels
September 17, 2023 @ 12:25 pm EDT
March to End Fossil Fuels
Join us on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, September 17, as we pray with our feet at the March to End Fossil Fuels.
The United Nations is calling on world leaders to take real steps to lead us off fossil fuels to protect people and the planet. On September 20th in New York, the UN Climate Ambition Summit will gather world leaders to commit to phasing out fossil fuels. Thousands of us will take to the streets before the summit to demand President Biden take bold action to end fossil fuels.

Prep:
Feeling excited? Join us at Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 10 for an Art Build, co-sponsored by GreenFaith, to help paint and draw signs and make eye-catching banners. Bring your artistic and musical energy to the CBE Social Hall. In addition to sign-making, we will be learning new songs and chants for the March, as well as both a Jewish and a political perspective on why we are marching.
