Repair the World Teen Service Corps
Food Preparation with Muslims Against Hunger
Hey Lab/Shul Teens!
An initiative created by Muslim’s Against Hunger, the Hunger Van uses local volunteer facilities for volunteers to prepare and distribute meals in neighborhoods where hunger is a real issue. Volunteers will prepare and package 200 meals to be delivered throughout the Brooklyn community in honor of MLK Day.
Join other teens at the Repair the World Workshop to prepare healthy food for local homeless people with Muslims Against Hunger’s Hunger Van. When the food is ready, we will take an in-depth look at Dr. King’s message and how teens can help make his dream a reality!
Last year, Repair the World’s first teen MLK Weekend volunteer opportunity was a huge success. Over 80 teens participated and we want to do it again!
