Our “Mixed Multitude”: A Study Salon on Jewish Inclusivity With Rabbi Emily Cohen

Who’s the Jewish “we?” The Jewish people has been a mixed multitude since the book of Exodus– when we left Egypt in a group of all types– if not the garden of Eden. During each of these study sessions we’ll delve into a particular facet of our diversity — studying texts and discussing questions ancient and modern, and reflecting on our own experiences of negotiating Jewish space.

This month’s topic: Conversion. What can we learn – as Converts/Jews by Choice and Jews of Jewish heritage – about how Converts to Judaism have been treated in our texts? All are welcome.
