Pop-Up Philanthropy: Downtown Manhattan

Your gift will be matched by UJA-Federation New York three-to-one; you cast your vote on where it goes.

Come together with people in your neighborhood to learn about exciting local initiatives that need your help. Over the course of a 90-minute, fast-paced exercise, you’ll discuss your values around giving, learn about neighborhood projects in Downtown Manhattan, and vote on which proposal (or proposals!) should receive grants of up to $15,000 total.

Lab/Shul needs your vote! We have submitted a $10,000 grant in collaboration with OneTable for intimate SlowDownTown ritual gatherings, all year round. Please come support this exciting new initiative.

UJA will also match your $36 contribution three-to-one; so together, we can maximize our impact. UJA will contribute a minimum of $5,000 toward the awarded grants and up to $12,000 based on event participation.

It’s your gift — and on November 2, you can vote on where it should go in your community.

Co-hosted by Downtown Jewish Life in collaboration with 14th Street Y and Educational Alliance
