As we head into spring mode – and Passover, another significant time of year without our loved ones, we align with Nisan/April, a time of moving from narrowness and constriction into the wider breath of spring.

Whether experiencing a recent loss, remembering a loved one who passed away long ago, or showing up in support of community, we gather to acknowledge feelings of loss that can be particularly painful as we anticipate an empty chair at our tables and holes in our hearts.

Lab/Shul’s ReCollect/Yizkor is a seasonal gathering to remember our loved ones, share stories, lift memory, and say Kaddish, the ancient memorial prayer, together. Throughout the year, ReCollect meets near or on the times of memory (Yizkor) on the Jewish calendar (Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover and Shavuot).
