Recollect Seasonal Kaddish Gathering: Tu B’Shvat

The lyrics to “The Rose” remind us that far beneath the bitter snow lies a seed of growth. That can be the experience of grieving. As we live in the winter months, we mark Tu B’Shvat – the birthday of the tree seedlings, not yet grown – and gather to recall and ritualize the fruits our loved ones bore on their tree of life.
ReCollect/Yizkor is a seasonal gathering to remember our loved ones, share stories, lift memory, and say Kaddish, the ancient memorial prayer, together.
Whether experiencing a recent loss, remembering a loved one who passed away long ago, or showing up in support of community, we gather to acknowledge feelings of loss that can be particularly painful as we anticipate an empty chair at our tables.
