Rise from Rubble: Multifaith Ritual and Call for Global Prophetic Justice

Join ritual leaders from Lab/Shul, St. James Presbyterian, Church of the Master, artists and activists to rise from rubble – rise together from the rubble of destructive hatred and violence.

The 9th of Av is Judaism’s saddest day, marked each year by fasting and lamenting in commemoration of exile, destruction and ongoing persecutions. This year, we witness and experience the rubble of our personal and public lives, mid pandemic, political divides, economic meltdown and the national reckoning with enduring racism and discrimination.

We gather on this day with other faith leaders and communities to lament together, to revisit prophetic promises of hope and to reclaim a more just, safe and healthy life for all.

We will be joining our Partners at JFREJ for Tisha B’Av of Teshuva following Rise from Rubble.
