3:15 – 4:00pm Study Salon with Romemu Artist-in-Residence Yael Kanarek
4:00pm – 5:30pm All ages meditation, music, poetic prayer, Lab/Jr. ArtLab, and a new Storahtelling collaboration with Yael Kanarek and her Regendered Bible, a socially-engaged initiative to rewrite the Bible reversing the genders of all characters.
5:30pm – 6:00pm Closing ritual

Lab/Jr. ArtLab

An invitation to imagine and connect, deepening our relationship with story and ritual through a mixed media studio experience. Children ages 2-10 (and their young at-heart-grown ups!) are welcome each month to explore Jewish texts, holidays, and values through a variety of curated art materials.

Parental Guidance: Lifehack Lessons From the Ancestors with Rabbi Amichai

A monthly exploration of the classical rabbinic text Pirkei Avot, or “Teachings of the Ancestors,” with practical philosophical insights for more mindful lives and wiser choices at any age + contemporary illustrated commentary from Lab/Shul’s 5779 Artist-in-Residence Jessica Tamar Deutsch’s The Illustrated Pirkei Avot.
