Welcome to Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional, pop up, experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in NYC and reaching the world.

Sit + Sorry: A Jewish & Zen Buddhist Night of Forgiveness

  • Open Center - 22 East 30th Street, between Madison Avenue and 5th Avenue
With open hearts, Lab/Shul and the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care invite you for a sacred night of deep reflection, shared traditions, and spiritual preparation for the season of forgiveness and a better new year. Inspired by Selichot, the Jewish ritual gathering that kicks off the High Holy Days Season by focusing on the art of forgiveness, Sit + Sorry weaves together ancient Judaic poetry and teachings, and Zen Buddhist contemplative practices.
