Welcome to Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional, pop up, experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in NYC and reaching the world.

Shabbat AM!

  • 10:00 AM

A Shabbat of community collaboration.

We’re honored to be welcomed by the Jewish Home, one of New York’s most innovative spaces for elder-care based in Jewish values. There will be so many opportunities to share, learn, build community. Come a bit early and lend a hand bringing seniors from their rooms to the worship space  – hear their stories and share a smile. As always, please bring the whole family!

Featuring neo-Hassidic rapper Eden “ePRHYME” Pearlstein and Lab/Shul Associate Director Naomi Less as Mavens! Amichai Lau-Levie and Shira Kline will be our ritual leaders with the super talented Katie Down, Jeremy Brown, and Brian Carter providing all the uplifting ritual music.

This Shabbat, right before Israel’s Independence Day, is Shabbat Shemini – the tale of two brothers and the complex task of nearing the holy. What is the price of sacrifice? What do we gain?

We can always use a helping hand – please email [email protected] if you’re interested.
