Lab/Shul presents ComPassion Plays, our first annual performance festival, party and renegade ritual riot taking on the Book of Esther. Off book. One night only.

We let loose 10 of New York’s wildest writers, performers, poets, musicians and creative rebels to create original shorts inspired by a single quote and an epic act of resistance from the Purim scroll:

“Then I’ll go to the king, though it’s illegal. If I perish, I perish.” (4:16)
