Uptown Sukkot Gathering for Housing Justice
October 6, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm EDT
| FreeUptown Sukkot Gathering for Housing Justice
Lab/Shul invites you to join facilitators from JCC Harlem, the City Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), Met Council on Housing, Housing Justice for All, The Jewish Theological Seminary and Repair the World for a virtual program to learn about the ongoing housing crisis in New York, and to get involved in the effort to ensure access to safe and stable housing for every New Yorker. We’ll hear from representatives of the above organizations, ground our learning in brief Jewish text study (no background required), and participate in an advocacy project facilitated by Repair the World.
Presented in partnership with: Kehillat Harlem, Based in Harlem, Torah Trumps Hate, Romemu, and the Joseph Stern Center for Social Responsibility at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.
