Jewish Unicorn Day – World Wide Wrap

  • 02:00 PM
  • Harlem JCC - 318 W 118th St, New York, NY 10026

Ever wonder what’s inside The Black Box?

Join Rabbi Amichai for an afternoon of leather and whiskey, exploring one of the most perplexing, powerful and lesser understood Jewish ritual props – the Tefilin.

Known also as “phylacteries,” these leather bound boxes containing sacred scriptures have been worn by Jews for centuries, though their true origin and real purpose have been largely forgotten…or repressed.

Rabbi Amichai will share his personal Tefilin story and practice, retrieving their mystical history and rescuing their practical application for more mindful balance between body and soul. And of course, we’ll find out what all this has to do with training to become a Jewish unicorn.

No experience necessary. Everybody friendly.
