The shmita year is coming! Join us for a remarkable afternoon exploring the sabbatical tradition on Sunday, September 14 at 2:30 pm featuring a keynote panel on shmita and social transformation featuring Rabbi Julian Sinclair, Rabbi Jill Jacobs, and Rabbi Dov Linzer with Nigel Savage and Rabbi Ayelet S. Cohen. Stay for sessions with outstanding teachers on shmita‘s ancient wisdom and its modern implications for climate change, debt relief, and personal/communal growth here and in Israel. The afternoon will also feature restorative yoga, a shmita-inspired farmer’s market, and food preservation workshop. The day will culminate at6 pm with the opening reception for Incubating Ideas and Cultivating Connections: The Greenhouse of Ein Shemer at the Laurie M. Tisch Gallery.

Amichai Lau-Lavie will lead a study workshop on FALLOW LAB: the Shmita Year and technology.
