Welcome to Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional, pop up, experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in NYC and reaching the world.

Feast Forward – Lab/Shul’s Week in Review 10/28/14

It was a really exciting weekend for Lab/Shul on the Family Front – last Saturday morning, we launched our first of a three-part series for families with kids aged 0-4 called StorahSteps – read all about it below.

Later that evening, we gathered together with half of our brand new Raising the Bar cohort of families. Together, we discussed fears and joys of becoming a B-Mitzvah while we feasted and said goodbye to Shabbat ritually. See the pics HERE. For more information on our Raising the Bar program, contact Naomi –  naomi at storahtelling.org

Make sure you check out our upcoming events on our Events Calendar – especially Shabbat2Go, our approach to gastro-Judaism. November is going to be a busy month – many ways to participate!

JLINC: StorahSteps

What do you get when you add intention, meaning, excitement and Judaism?

This past Shabbat, 20 intergenerational families with children 0-4 years old, gathered to sing, dance, move, play and honor the Torah, by sharing it’s stories through their own voices. Led by our own Naomi Less and Shawn Shafner, this sold out program was a huge success – Read more HERE. See pics HERE

On Friday Night, November 7th,  join Lab/Shul for our first Shabbat 2 Go of 5775: Shabbat dinners at local homes with old and new Lab/Shul friends. Deadline to sign up is TOMORROW – 10/29, by end of day. Email [email protected] for more information.
