Manifest Sanctuary This Wknd

Friends,

Like so many of us at this time of transition, we at Lab/Shul are reflecting on what’s next, focusing on our role in co-creating opportunities for sanctuary. We are partnering with allies to take care of ourselves and of each other, providing spaces of safety, healing, action and support. Hundreds of you joined us this past week in Washington Sq. Park and Judson Memorial Church for worship and open-hearted conversation circles. Just today we joined hundreds of congregations of faith from all over the country and pledged to be a sanctuary that resists deportation and discrimination.

We invite you to join us THIS WEEKEND for more sanctuary building – with body, mind and soul:

SABBATH QUEENFRIDAY Nov. 18 everybody friendly, God-optional Sabbath experience + open bar and tapas @ The Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn

#IAMAMERICA VIGILSUNDAY Nov. 20 Join Rabbi Amichai and Lab/Shul as we stand with faith communities for democracy and equality @ Washington Square Park

PLANNING A PATH FORWARD: MONDAY Nov. 21 Reflect and strategize how to protect our most vulnerable communities, organized by Faith in New York @ Middle Collegiate Church

Say tuned for more info on upcoming events, communal meetings and organization. Got ideas or suggestions? Please email [email protected]

Wishing you all a Sabbath of rest, breath and peace. Choose love.
