Welcome to Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional, pop up, experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in NYC and reaching the world.

Let Freedom Feast: Multifaith Seder for Justice 2017

Hey Lab/Shul,

Post Purim day is officially the time to get spring cleaning going and Passover prep underway…even if there’s a blizzard coming. Got Second Seder plans?

After a fantastic Purim where I walked around with a red Trump hat in search of compassion (read about what that felt like in today’s Forward and stay tuned for more pics!), I am excited to invite you to Lab/Shul’s second FREEDOM’S FEAST – a sacred second night Passover Seder led by Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Zen faith leaders, along with local activists, performing artists and musicians, in a shared celebration of justice, liberation and human dignity.

Inspired by our ancient narratives, Freedom’s Feast features highlights from the rituals of Seder, interactive storytelling, live music and prayer, a festive feast (kosher for Passover options available), contemplation, conversation and a call to action for unity around the world.
