Lab/Shul honored MLK’s legacy this with a full weekend of preacher swapping, teen educating, volunteering, and beloved community building.

To build on Dr. King’s call for justice from all and for all, Rev. Derrick McQueen from St. James Presbyterian Church spoke at Sabbath KING on Friday and Lab/Shul’s own Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie preached from the pulpit at St. James on Sunday.

Lab/Shul, Repair the World, UJA-Federation NY, Muslims Against Hunger and Kolot Hayyeinu joined together on Monday to prepare and package 200 meals to be delivered to those experiencing food insecurity, including an interactive learning session and a hands on family friendly volunteer experience.

On the same day, our RTB kids took a trip to the Whitney to learn about resistance art and history.
