This year, in a rare coincidence, both Yom Kippur and the Muslim holy day of Ashura fall on the same day: September 30th. Lab/Shul is proud to be gathering twice these High Holy Days to mark this sacred convergence with powerful messages of unity – totally free and everybody-friendly.
Rosh Hashanah Day 2
Tashlich + Dhikr: Muslim & Jewish
New Year Ritual Celebration
Shared mystical traditions and rituals with our Sufi friends at the Nur Ashki Jerrahi Community. Space is limited so we are giving priority first to SeasonPass Co-Creators. PLEASE RSVP!
Yom Kippur Day
All-Faith Ritual & Prayer Rally
for Peace and Justice
A public prayer for peace and justice on our shared holy day, with Lab/Shul, The Islamic Center of NYU, Trinity Church, and the NYC Mayor’s Office Center for Faith and Community Partnerships.
Check out all our free public programs this season: High Holy Day Schedule.
(Pro tip: You definitely won’t want to miss Can We Talk? on Yom Kippur Eve – an honest conversation about emotional intelligence at a time of increasing divides, featuring Esther Perel, Gillian Laub, Kerrie Thompson Mohr, and Gabriel Kahane, moderated by Rabbi Amichai and presented by Lab/Shul and Reboot.)
From ritual to rally, from broad community to intimate conversations, I hope you can help us grow Lab/Shul’s ever-expanding circles – calling out, and calling in.
– Rabbi Kerry
