Happy New Moon Lab/Shul!

With Purim just two weeks away we’re excited to be back at House of Yes after an amazing Slow Down last Friday (goooorgeous pics here). More Sabbath beauty coming up this month with Sabbath Queen NEXT FRIDAY 3/15 @ City Point and Zen Shabbat Friday 3/29, the last of the season. (PS Families: We’ve got all your Purim needs covered at FamilyLab: Make Some Noise Friday 3/22)

Believe it or not, coming up is Passover, and we’re thrilled that more talent and star power is joining our Freedom’s Feast: Multifaith Seder for Justice. Just added to the list of presenters…..2019 Grammy Award winning Adam Kantor and Middle Collegiate Church’s Rev. Jacqui Lewis!

Adam is best known for his roles in Broadway’s The Band’s Visit, as well as hit shows like Billions and The Good Wife. Rev. Lewis, the first African American and first woman to serve as a senior minister of the oldest continuous Protestant Church in North America, is a nationally recognized activist force of nature and a close ally to Amichai and Lab/Shul.

Together they join over 15 local faith and justice organizations (and counting!) in this unique celebration of Passover, Easter, and Earth Day.

Freedom’s Feast features highlights from the rituals of Seder – a festive feast, interactive storytelling, live music, and prayer – together with contemplation, conversation, and calls to action for unity in New York City and around the world.
