Welcome to Lab/Shul, an artist-driven, everybody-friendly, God-optional, pop up, experimental community for sacred Jewish gatherings based in NYC and reaching the world.

Perplexed? We’ve Got A Guide

Dear Lab/Shul,

Snow or shine, our lights are ON as we, like everyone these days, are up late figuring out how Lab/Shul can live out our mission by responding to this political moment.

We’re very excited, with your help, to soft launch Lab/Shul Organizing, a co-created hub for communal care, local action, and national impact:

Gather, connect and nourish our spirits at events like Shabbat AM (this Saturday!), Sabbath Queen and our brand new weekly 15 min #ResistBurnout phone call every Monday.

We’ll be posting and regularly updating HERE a proactive opportunity for us to show up for justice together as Lab/Shul. Our first official action is HIAS’ Jewish Rally for Refugees on Sunday. Email any future suggestions to [email protected].

Learn and grow your skills as an organizer, activist, and all-around human at our community trainings: Activate (Feb 15 & Mar 1), Race & Us (Feb 12), Upstander Intervention (Feb 23), and more.

We’ve curated HERE a selection of tools, resources, and organizations to help your personal, communal, and national efforts.

And we’re just getting started. Please tell us what you think, what you want to see, and how you want to help make it happen. We’ve got this. Together.

– Rabbi Amichai and Rabbi Kerry
