Remember that moment at your first Lab/Shul event when you said to yourself, “Wow, I never thought Judaism could be this way”, or “I’ve finally found my people!”?
Remember what it felt like when quarantine began and you received a pre-Shabbat check-in phone call from another Lab/Shuler?
Remember Rev. Micah’s “queer your sandwich” blessing at Sayder LIVE! and Naomi’s “Sisters Count” Havdalah at our REVEAL-A-THON?
Remember making cheese with Shira and Liz for Shavuot?
Remember Luis’ gorgeous Shabbat Storahtelling, Stephen’s delightful pre-Sabbath happy hours and Rachelle’s origami lesson at the SlowDown?
Remember the daily SoulSpas where Rami, Ora, Koshin, Chodo, Katie and Dara taught us how to pause and be present and when Greta, Rebekah, Alicia Jo, Shir Yaakov, Billy, Aviva, Mikey and Chava chanted the most beautiful blessings for healing?
Remember learning with Rabbi Emily, Rabbi Jill, Rabbi David, Rev. Derrick, Melissa, Franny, Shoshanna, Stuart, Renee and Amanda?
Remember rising for racial justice with Rabbi Amichai in the streets and online?
We know you remember because the words in the image above are just some of the words you used to describe Lab/Shul’s programming this year. (And if you haven’t already, we’d love to hear more – please share your feedback!)
Eight years ago, Lab/Shul began experimenting with what sacred Jewish gatherings could look and feel like for the 21st century and beyond. During the past year, more than 250 households joined us for our inaugural year of Partnerhood – our re-imagined membership program. (Some are featured in this Partnerhood video!)
With our sights on developing the 5781 Days of Awe, and another year of programming during these extremely uncertain times, your investment in Lab/Shul is more important than ever. Here’s how we can count on you:
- If you are ready to take your relationship with Lab/Shul to the next level, please consider becoming a Partner. Our unique, flexible model offers the opportunity for you to invest with time, a financial gift or both in a way that works best for you and with a flexible payment plan.
- If you joined us in 2019 as a Lab/Shul Partner, please take 3 minutes to renew your Partnerhood by clicking here. Register or log in to your ShulCloud account (if not already logged in).
Under “Payment is” select “a donation”, then select your Partnerhood option under the “Type” dropdown and follow the prompts from there.
Please note, our virtual-only, all-access High Holy Day programming will be offered AT NO COST TO PARTNERS.
If you have any questions about Partnerhood, please email Sarah Strnad, Director of Operations and Community Engagement at sarah@labshul.org.
A year ago, we could have never expected to be where we are now and we are so grateful to be in community with you.
With gratitude and love,
Sarah
