Dear Lab/Shul Family,
The situation in Israel is getting worse by the minute as more details are revealed and more and more are mourning loved ones who were either killed in yesterday’s brutal attack by Hamas or kidnapped to Gaza. Much is yet unknown. What we already know is beyond heartbreaking.
Mass mobilization of the army includes many loved ones, with courage and dedication, already on the front lines of this devastating war. We watch with concern and horror as casualties of many innocent lives are reported in Gaza. This is a disaster and we, as a community of care and justice, must come together to offer support to those among us suffering and to be in solidarity with our family and friends in Israel.

Today we will gather in Brooklyn at 2pm to cast a circle of solidarity and prayer.
Our planned ritual of celebrating our sacred story with joy will now be a circle of solidarity with Israel, and a prayer for peace, hope and tranquility for all of us, everywhere.
Join us to hold hands as we open our Torah of Love and Justice from beginning to end, as we pray for peace and healing, consolation and repair.
There will be special activities for children, a ritual led by Rabbi Amichai and our ritual team, prayers for healing, and time for us to share our feelings and thoughts, reflections and needs.
All ages, all faiths. Open and accessible to all.
