Each month, young activists in Lab/Shul’s Raising the Bar B Mitzvah program gather for Justice Club to connect with each other, raise awareness and understanding about important social justice issues, and learn how they can make a difference. This month, in the Purim spirit of giving justly, the Justice Club launched a virtual drive to benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI). HMI serves LGBTQ+ youth in need by creating a safe and supportive environment for all young people so that they can achieve their full potential.
Get Involved
- We invite you to visit our online registry* and purchase an item for at-risk LGBTQ+ youth – such as hygiene products, clothing, food, and more.
*Please note that Target has a $35 minimum for shipping on many of their items. If this donation is out of reach at this time, there are two more ways to contribute!
- We invite you to purchase a Target gift card on the registry. There is no shipping cost for this item, and you can contribute a comfortable amount of your choice.
- You can also donate directly to Lab/Shul. Under “Payment Type” please select “Donation,” and indicate Hetrick-Martin Institute in the “Payment Notes.”
Contributions from both of the above channels will be used to purchase more essential items for HMI. Every bit makes a difference and we so appreciate your gifts.
