Lab/Shul is, at its heart, a way to step into the center of our community, building relationships towards a common vision of love and justice.

Our Community Members are an integral part of creating the sacred space that makes every Lab/Shul gathering so special. Whether you’re a Partner looking to fulfill your Shul/Shift or are new to the community and looking to connect with like-minded new friends – we’ve got you. Here are five ways to get involved:

Lab/Shul Together Facebook Group: Join our Facebook group to communicate directly with other Lab/Shul co-creators about love and justice opportunities in NYC.

Refugee Task Force: Support those newly arriving to New York City through partnerships with the Riverside Language School and Team TLC NYC.

Kaddish Club Dinner Hosts: Our monthly Kaddish Club Dinners are coordinated, facilitated, and hosted by Lab/Shul co-creators.

Feast Team: Help co-create our communal meals, designing menus and mastering the art of hosting and hospitality by volunteering as our monthly “Feast Queen” at Sabbath Queen.

Sacred Space Specialists: Volunteers help set up, clean up, and welcome community at Sabbath Queen, Zen Shabbat, and other Lab/Shul events to co-create the space and energy for sacred communal experience.

Do you have skills in marketing, fundraising, outreach, or other forms of organizational support? We are always looking for Partners to help us with important behind-the-scenes work that helps Lab/Shul run.

Remember, Partners contribute between one to twelve Shul/Shifts a year to make Lab/Shul happen. Curious about joining the Lab/Shul Partnerhood? Discover Partner benefits.

“Lab/Shul is a major reason why I moved from New Mexico to New York a year ago; you are hands-down the most loving, thoughtfully political, co-creating spiritual community I know! Happy to be in your family.”
