MAY DAY | Rise Up New York!
Immigrant Rights and Worker Rights
May Day history: Celebrating May 1st as May Day started in Chicago in 1886 as part of the labor movement’s fight for the eight-hour work day. May Day, the international workers’ holiday, was born in the United States! At 5:00 p.m., New Yorkers from across the city will converge in Manhattan to stand together and resist the policies of the current Administration. Join us as we hear from musical performers who represent the diverse communities of New York City and directly from people impacted by bigoted and anti-worker policies.
